Justen Fleming is a special counsel based in the London and Tokyo offices and is a member of the firm’s Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group. Justen specialises in energy projects and project financings and has a particular focus through the LNG value chain: from liquefaction projects in Asia and North America, through marketing arrangements and shipping to regas and LNG-to-power in a variety of jurisdictions. Justen's broader experience includes projects in the power, coal-to-liquids, petrochemical and oil and gas sectors.

Primary Focus & Experience
Justen has gained experience working on several liquefaction projects in different stages of development (exploration, project structuring, joint venture arrangements, LNG marketing, project financing) different structures (project company, tolling, unincorporated and equity lifting) and a broad range of jurisdictions, including North America, South America and Australasia. Justen has also advised on regasification projects and a variety of LNG sales arrangements. He also regularly advises clients in relation to their investments in the power, coal-to-liquids, petrochemical and oil and gas sectors.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Prior to Milbank, Justen worked in the Tokyo office of another leading international law firm. He has been on secondment to major Japanese trading houses.
