Primary Focus & Experience
Ms. Mechlowicz’s experience includes a variety of international financial and corporate transactions involving transportation assets, such as aircraft or rolling stock. Her practice focuses on secured and unsecured lending, asset acquisition, acquisition or disposition of companies owning or leasing assets, leasing, and securities private placements or offerings under Rule 144A/Regulation S (portfolio securitizations). She has worked on some of the most significant recent securitizations and financings involving aircraft, including transactions that have been recognized by industry publications as “Deals of the Year.”
Recognition & Accomplishments
Ms. Mechlowicz was featured as a top aviation lawyer in the 2022 Guide to the World’s Leading Women in Business Law. She was named “Best in Aviation” for her work as a leading aviation attorney at Euromoney’s Women in Business Law Americas Awards 2020, which honors the outstanding achievements of women who stand out as leaders in their industry and who have been instrumental to innovative approaches in their field. She was also shortlisted as “Aviation Lawyer of the Year” at the Euromoney Women in Business Law Americas Awards 2023.
At Columbia Law School, Ms. Mechlowicz was an Alexander Hamilton Fellow and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She also served as a managing editor and an articles editor of the Columbia Journal of Gender and Law.
