Claudia Carvajal Lopez is a partner in the New York office of Milbank and a member of the firm’s Corporate Finance and Securities Group.
Primary Focus & Experience
Ms. Carvajal Lopez advises companies, investment banks and lenders on a wide range of securities offerings. Her practice encompasses high-yield and investment-grade debt offerings, both registered and unregistered, as well as initial public offerings, follow-on equity offerings, spin-off financings, liability management exercises, structured 144A credit transactions and preferred equity offerings. She also advises clients on corporate governance matters.
She advises public and private companies across a range of industries — including aerospace, construction technology, cybersecurity and industrials — on capital markets and securities matters. Her representative experience includes advising on Quantinuum’s $1.7 billion IPO, Global Payments’ $6.2 billion notes offering and Grupo Aeromexico’s $275 million IPO, among other significant transactions.

Ms. Carvajal Lopez earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she served as an Articles Editor for the New York University Law Review, and her B.A. in Political Science from UC Berkeley.
Ms. Carvajal Lopez is fluent in Spanish.
