Primary Focus & Experience
Chrisangelina has experience advising lenders and sponsors on a wide range of finance transactions, with experience primarily in project development and finance. Chrisangelina has practiced across a range of sectors including renewable and conventional power, energy transition, mining and vessel financing.
A selection of Chrisangelina’s experience includes advising:
- TotalEnergies and various of its joint venture counterparts on a large number of covered loan and covered hedging arrangements across multiple geographies and sectors, including renewable energy.
- EKN and the commercial banks on Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited’s US$2.2bn equivalent financing and Finnvera and the commercial banks on Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited’s US$1.5bn equivalent financing, in each case for the 5G network rollout in India. The mega-financing was recognized as one of the Best Deals of the Year by GTR and won TXF’s “ECA Borrower Deal of the Year”.
- SACE and the commercial banks on a US$1 billion equivalent green SACE push covered financing. The loan was provided to finance Reliance Industries Limited’s capital expenditure in relation to certain eligible green projects in various industries, ranging from solar cells manufacturing facilities to green hydrogen production.
- the mandated lead arranger on the refinancing of six Very Large Ethane Carriers.
- BNPP, CA-CIB, Mizuho and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank in connection with the USD800m acquisition financing of two vessels by Energos (a joint venture between Apollo and New Fortress Energy) from Dynagas. The vessels are chartered by the German Government.
- the multi-laterals (including IFC and ADB), the ECAs (including EDC, Euler Hermes, Finnvera and EKN) and the commercial banks on the Reko Diq Copper-Gold Project in Pakistan.
- the ECAs, DFIs and commercial banks in connection with the financing of a CCGT power project in Uzbekistan.*
- Masdar as the sponsors on the financing of a 200 MW solar PV project in Azerbaijan, one of the first renewable IPP projects being developed in the country.*
- IFC, DFC and OPEC Fund on the financing of the Temane IPP project, a 400 MW gas-fired power plant in Mozambique.*
- NEOM Company, Saudi Arabia’s new city giga-project development company, on a $6.5 billion green energy joint venture with ACWA Power and Air Products that will incorporate the region’s largest wind and solar renewables production projects, more than 400 MW of battery storage and a green hydrogen / green ammonia export project.*
- Masdar as the sponsors on the development of a 65 MW solar PV power plant in Greece.*
