Ms. Savino’s practice focuses primarily on restructuring-related litigation. Her significant representations include:
- Bond insurer in PROMESA proceedings for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and other government instrumentalities (D.P.R.);
- Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in Talen Energy’s chapter 11 cases (Bankr. S.D. Tex.);
- Series B Preferred Holders in Celsius Network LLC’s chapter 11 cases (Bankr. S.D.N.Y.);
- First-lien lenders, DIP lenders, and stalking horse bidder in Exactech Inc.’s chapter 11 cases (Bankr. D. Del.);
- An ad hoc group of noteholders in Office Properties Income Trust’s chapter 11 cases (Bankr. S.D. Tex.);
- RCF administrative agent in Spirit Aviation Holdings’ chapter 11 cases (Bankr. S.D.N.Y.);
- Lessor in Cinemex Holdings USA’s subchapter V cases (Bankr. S.D. Fla.);
- DIP lender and stalking horse purchaser in GoldenPeaks Poland LLC’s chapter 11 cases (Bankr. S.D. Tex.);
- Foreign respondents in special proceedings under CPLR 5225 involving turnover and fraudulent transfer claims (N.Y. Sup. Ct.).
Ms. Savino also maintains an active pro bono practice involving, among other matters, immigration issues, criminal appeals and juvenile resentencing proceedings.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Ms. Savino received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where she was a Ruth Whitehead Whaley Scholar as of May 2019. While at Fordham, she served as Managing Editor of the Fordham Urban Law Journal. She earned her B.A. from Adelphi University, graduating summa cum laude.
