September Fundraising Activity
September 1 – Launch start-up Payload Aerospace, S.A. raised an additional €108m in a Series C extension round led by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, with participation from Compañía Española de Financiación del Desarrollo and others.
September 6 – Indian hyperspectral satellite start-up Pixxel Space Technologies, Inc. raised $100m in a Series C funding round led by Temasek Holdings Pte. Ltd. and Seraphim Space Manager LLP, with participation from Radical Ventures Investments Inc., M&G Catalyst Fund (managed by M&G plc) and others.
September 8 – Launch start-up Stoke Space Technologies, Inc. raised $1b in a Series E funding round led by Point72, L.P. and Spark Capital Partners, LLC, with participation from U.S. Innovative Technology Fund and others.
