European Leveraged Finance and Capital Markets partner Sarbajeet Nag was named a rising star at Euromoney Legal Media Group’s 2020 Rising Stars Awards Europe. The awards celebrate the efforts and accomplishments of up-and-coming legal practitioners in their respective practice areas. Nominees and winners were selected after an extensive research process that included directory and survey analyses, as well as research interviews in which key practitioners across jurisdictions discussed their peers’ accomplishments.
Mr. Nag was recognized as a Rising Star in the Banking and Finance category. He has advised and represented lenders, issuers and sponsors in a wide range of international and domestic transactions, including leveraged acquisition financings, infrastructure financings, financial restructurings and public-to-private buyouts. Recently, he was part of the Milbank team advising the mandated lead arrangers on the €2.1 billion public to private takeover of Ahlstrom-Munksjö Oyj, a sustainable and innovative fiber solutions company, by a consortium including Bain Capital. He was also part of the Milbank team that acted for the lead arranger on Lone Star’s public-to-private takeover bid for McCarthy & Stone plc, a leading developer and manager of retirement communities in the UK.
Mr. Nag has also been recognized by Chambers UK 2021 as Up and Coming for Banking & Finance and a Next Generation Partner by the Legal 500 UK 2021 for Acquisition Finance.
