Partner Lauren Doyle Recognized as 2019 Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer by Turnarounds & Workouts

Financial Restructuring partner Lauren Doyle has been named as one of the Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyers for 2019, by Turnarounds & Workouts magazine. The award recognizes restructuring attorneys under the age of 40 who have demonstrated leadership, as well as a high level of achievement in their field. Ms. Doyle was one of just 12 lawyers honored nationwide.

A special report published by Turnarounds & Workouts highlights a few of Ms. Doyle’s “outstanding achievements” for 2018 that contributed to her selection for inclusion in the list:

  • Representation of the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of M&G USA Corporation and its affiliated Debtors
  • Representation of a group of lenders in connection with the successful and comprehensive balance sheet and operational restructuring of Preferred Sands, a leading producer of frac sand and resin-coated proppants
  • Representation of the agent and steering committee of senior secured lenders in the successful amendment of the term loan debt of Seadrill Partners Ltd., a limited liability company formed by Seadrill Limited to own, operate and acquire offshore drilling rigs under long-term contracts with major oil companies pursuant to separate finance arrangements
  • Representation of Mercuria Energy Group Limited, one of the world’s largest independent energy and commodity companies, in connection with a strategic investment in Aegean Marine Petroleum Network Inc.
  • Representation of an ad hoc committee of senior creditors in connection with the chapter 11 cases for Ultra Petroleum Corp., an oil and natural gas exploration and production enterprise, and its affiliates

Ms. Doyle regularly represents companies, creditors, lenders and financial institutions in multi-billion dollar restructurings in the US and globally. Her engagements have ranged across a wide array of industries, including energy, shipping, chemicals, paper, airline, financial services, automotive, consumer goods and retail.
