Milbank LLP Litigation & Arbitration partner Antonia Apps will moderate the panel “Securities Enforcement in a Biden Administration” at the American Bar Association’s National Institute on White Collar Crime (“the Institute”) on March 2, 2022 in San Francisco, CA. Established in 1987 and now in its 37th year, the Institute features renown panelists who examine some of the most topical issues of our time.
Ms. Apps and the panelists will discuss recent trends in securities enforcement, including the administration’s agenda for SPACs, ESG disclosures for public issuers and asset managers, and corporate disclosures of cyberbreaches. They will also examine compliance policies for cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. Panelists include representatives from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and the Securities & Exchange Commission, as well as attorneys from international law firms.
Ms. Apps is a former federal prosecutor and nationally recognized trial attorney with experience in criminal and civil matters. She represents financial institutions, public companies, asset management firms and individuals in government investments and complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts. She has received numerous industry awards for her achievements in litigation and also teaches a class at Harvard Law School on White Collar Criminal Law and Procedure.
