Milbank LLP’s Intellectual Property Group and partners Christopher Gaspar and Nathaniel Browand are recognized in the 2026 IAM Patent 1000 guide.

The firm is recognized in the “silver band” for patent litigation in New York. IAM Patent writes that Milbank’s group stands out for handling “technically dense, business-critical patent matters with a trial-ready approach” and “its niche strength at the intersection of patent litigation and investment strategy, where the firm advises funders and investors on the merits, value and litigation trajectory of IP-heavy assets.” The guide calls out the firm’s recent trial victory on behalf of Empire Technology Development against Samsung.

Partner Christopher Gaspar was once again ranked in the “gold band” for patent litigation, the guides highest recognition. Clients say Mr. Gaspar is “second to none in responsiveness, market knowledge and client service” and “is the best in the business.”

Partner Nathaniel Browand is recognized in the publication’s “bronze band” for patent litigation, with IAM Patent writing that he has “quickly developed into an important disputes lawyer.”

IAM Patent 1000 is an annual guide highlighting the firms and individuals that are deemed outstanding in the pivotal area of patent law. You can read the 2026 edition here.
