Milbank Partner Nelly Almeida to Speak at Practicing Law Institute’s Recent Developments in Distressed Debt, Restructurings, and Workouts 2026 Program

Financial Restructuring partner Nelly Almeida will speak at the Practicing Law Institute’s (PLI) Recent Developments in Distressed Debt, Restructurings, and Workouts 2026 program on January 26, 2026.
 
Ms. Almeida will participate in the “Evolution of Intercreditor Considerations” panel, where she and her fellow panelists will address key developments shaping today’s restructuring landscape. Discussion topics will include the changing dynamics of intercreditor relationships—from traditional first lien/second lien structures to newer cooperation agreements and emerging market trends. The panel will also consider how companies and creditor groups approach contractual tools in distressed situation negotiations and examine the increasing tension between majority and minority stakeholders.
