Milbank Partner Bijan Ganji Featured in Financier Worldwide’s 2026 Power Players List as International Trade and Sanctions Distinguished Adviser

Milbank LLP Global Risk & National Security partner Bijan Ganji was named to Financier Worldwide’s 2026 Power Players list as a distinguished adviser for International Trade and Sanctions. Mr. Ganji, who was previously featured in the publication, was again selected as one of the 10 lawyers to be featured for this area.

As part of the Q&A included in the Financier Worldwide feature, Mr. Ganji, who advises clients operating or investing across borders on global commerce and foreign investment matters, discussed the strategic approach that he takes in addressing complex legal challenges in his practice, the evolving impact of chips and artificial intelligence on international trade and sanctions, and his pro bono efforts at Milbank, among other topics.

Mr. Ganji, based in Milbank’s Washington, DC office, advises on compliance and risk management with respect to legal regimes tied to foreign policy and national security, including economic sanctions administered by the US Department of the Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control and the US Department of State, Office of Economic Sanctions Policy and Implementation, export controls administered by the US Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and the US Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls and national security investment reviews conducted by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the US (CFIUS).
