Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance partner John Dewar and senior associate Oliver Irwin spoke at the IFLR’s fifth Africa Forum focusing on the laws, regulation and transactions concerning the continent’s natural resources in London on 25 May 2017.
Oliver moderated the “African Energy Projects in 2017 & Beyond” panel also featuring Howard Gooder, Head of Oil & Gas Lending EMEA, Siemens Bank, Ian Brown-Peterside, General Counsel, Seven Energy International and Fathima Hussain, Managing Director, Standard Chartered Bank. John was a panellist on the “Infrastructure to Support Growth” panel which focused on the financing of Africa’s road, rail and airport infrastructure, risk and return characteristics, methods for success of PPPs and insurance options.
