In recognition of its leading role in many of the most significant and high-profile project and energy transactions, Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP has received the 2015 Chambers USA “Award for Excellence” in Energy/Projects: Power Including Renewables. The awards recognize firms for pre-eminence in various practice areas, covering significant achievements and new matters over the previous year. Chambers officially announced the award at a May 19 ceremony in New York.
This award builds on other notable recognition earned by the firm’s leading global Projects and Energy practice. Chambers Latin America honored Milbank with the “Award for Excellence,” recognizing it as the #1 Ranked Project Finance Law Firm, again in 2014 (for the fifth time in the past six years), and the firm was also recently named Chambers Asia Pacific’s “Indonesia International Law Firm of the Year” for its work in Southeast Asia, including a number of major projects. Milbank is ranked in Band 1 nationwide for Power Projects, PPP, and Renewables & Alternative Energy in the 2015 Chambers USA guide.
“We are honored to be recognized for our team’s achievements in project finance in the US and beyond,” says partner Eric Silverman co-chair of the firm’s Project Finance Group. “This award reflects both the high standards upheld by our team and the high caliber of our clients and projects. It is our privilege to play a key role in these transactions.”
“The past year has been an exciting one for our practice and clients, with our US-based team collaborating with our colleagues around the world on some of the largest and most innovative transactions in the power, oil and gas, natural resource and transportation infrastructure areas,” says Project Finance Practice Group Leader Dan Bartfeld.
Milbank’s Global Project Finance Group plays a critical role in the financing and development of key infrastructure and energy projects around the world, from power plants and mining to highways and new forms of energy exploration. The firm has advised on some of the largest and most complex projects undertaken in the oil, gas and petrochemicals sectors.
