Milbank LLP advised as lenders’ counsel in connection with Revera Energy’s non-recourse senior debt financing of its Windyhill Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Scotland, which was underwritten by Santander CIB.
Windyhill BESS is the first in a pipeline of UK BESS projects that Revera Energy plans to develop and will support the UK’s Clean Power 2030 net zero goals, including by strengthening grid stability.
The London-based Milbank team was led by Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance partners Matthew Brown and Seyda Duman, with support from associates Samuel Forsyth, Harriet Ohemeng and Rachel Tay, and trainee solicitor James Hill.
