Milbank LLP advised ASR Media and Sponsorship S.p.A. (the “Issuer”) in connection with the solicitation of consents from holders of its outstanding €275 million 5.125% senior secured notes due 2024 to approve certain waivers and amendments to the existing indenture following its acquisition by The Friedkin Group, Inc., a privately held group of automotive, hospitality, entertainment, golf and adventure companies.
The Issuer owns the media, broadcast and sponsorship rights and the historical media archives of Associazione Sportiva Roma S.p.A. (“AS Roma”) as well as the intellectual property rights relating to the AS Roma brand. AS Roma is a leading European football club, which regularly participates in Italy’s top football league, known as Serie A, and the UEFA Champions League.
