Milbank LLP advised affiliates of Morgan Stanley in connection with the acquisition of the music publishing catalog of over 100 songs written or co-written by a five-time Grammy award-winning writer and producer, including such titles as “Uptown Funk” and “Just Give Me a Reason,” which both reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and “Girl on Fire,” which reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart. Milbank also advised on a $50 million bridge loan in connection with the catalog acquisition.
