Milbank Litigation partner Mark Scarsi has been selected as one of the Top IP Lawyers in California for 2017 by the Daily Journal for the fourth time in recent years. Mr. Scarsi, co-managing partner of Milbank’s Los Angeles office and head of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation & Technology practice, was also honored with this award in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
The annual “Top Intellectual Property Lawyers” list published by Daily Journal recognizes 100 of the top intellectual property lawyers in California. The publication selects attorneys to be ranked based on a number of criteria, including nominations, staff selections, and consideration of the nominee’s major achievements in the area of intellectual property over the past year.
Mr. Scarsi has led high-profile trial victories on behalf of some of the most prominent technology companies, illustrating his leadership in the area of intellectual property litigation. He has tried over a dozen jury trials, including two notable representations of behalf of a preeminent technology company, where he obtained complete defense verdicts of non-infringement and invalidity, which earned him Daily Journal’s “Top Defense Verdict” awards, and he also obtained judgment on behalf of another leading technology company. He is currently representing The Oneida Group in a significant IP litigation matter involving Oneida’s high-end dinnerware, and doorbell company Ring in another upcoming trial.
Mr. Scarsi was also recently named as one of the Most Influential IP Attorneys in Los Angeles County by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
