Milbank LLP Antitrust partner Andrea Hamilton will participate in a panel discussing “Foreign Direct Investment and Political Considerations in M&A Deals: Increasing Scrutiny in an Era of Greater Protectionism” at the 2025 IBA Annual Conference in Toronto on Wednesday 5 November. Andrea will be joined by panellists who are experts from around the globe, to discuss how businesses and their advisors can navigate the complex landscape as more and more countries establish and enforce foreign direct investment laws around the world.
Since its creation in 1947, the IBA has evolved from an association comprised exclusively of bar associations and law societies, to one that incorporates individual international lawyers and entire law firms. Its annual conference provides a global forum for the dissemination of specialist legal information, and an opportunity for legal practitioners to network and discuss the latest updates and developments.
