Primary Focus & Experience
Mr. Turnbull has experience advising project sponsors, commercial banks, institutional investors and other key stakeholders on domestic and cross-border project financings, acquisitions and restructurings in various industries and sectors.
Notable recent experience includes the representation of:
- Broad Reach Power in connection with the $160 million financing for a portfolio of battery storage project located in the US. The portfolio, totaling 390 MWh, consists of 17 total operating battery energy storage systems in Texas and one in California.
- Investec as coordinating lead arranger and sole bookrunner and the lenders in connection with financing the development and construction of a 3,783 MMBTu per day food-to-waste renewable natural gas (RNG) project in Linden, New Jersey.
- The lenders (MUFG Bank, Ltd. as administrative agent, along with Bank of America, N.A., Bank of China, Citibank, N.A., HSBC Bank USA, N.A., ING Capital LLC, Intesa SanPaolo S.p.A., KDB Asia Limited, KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH, Société Générale, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, The Bank of Nova Scotia and The Korea Development Bank) in the construction debt financing of the public-private partnership to build the $9.5 billion New Terminal One at New York's John F. Kennedy Airport.
- Matrix Renewables, in connection with a $290 million private placement financing for the construction and operation of a 328 MW PMGD portfolio in Chile.
- J.P Morgan in connection with the financing for Mubadala Capital’s Acquisition of the Landulpho Alves Refinery, in the state of Bahia, Brazil.
