Amy Bradley is an associate in the London office of Milbank LLP in the Transportation & Space Group. Amy has experience acting for a range lessors, financial institutions and operators on a variety of asset leasing and financing transactions. She has acted on numerous aircraft acquisition, finance and lease transactions across various jurisdictions and has experience advising on high profile deals in the sector including portfolio acquisition, operating lease, term loan and warehouse financing transactions.

Primary Focus & Experience

A selection of her recent transactions include advising:

  • KKR and Altavair in relation to their $1bn acquisition of an aircraft portfolio including Boeing 777s and Airbus A330s from Etihad and related leasing and financing arrangements;
  • A lead arranger and lender with respect to its $750m secured facility, for the financing of a portfolio of aircraft;
  • BNP Paribas as mandated lead arranger and original lender on the US$168 million financing for the acquisition of a portfolio of eight aircraft by Global Aviation Equipment Leasing (GAEL), an aviation fund arranged by SMBC Aviation Capital;
  • NCBC Capital on the acquisition of a portfolio of 19 narrowbody and widebody aircraft from AerCap and financing under a US$500 million murabaha facility jointly arranged by Citibank and BNP Paribas;
  • a borrower with respect to its $750m secured warehouse facility, for the financing of a portfolio of aircraft leased to a range of lessees;
  • a lead arranger and lender with respect to its $200m secured warehouse facility, for the financing of a portfolio of aircraft leased to a range of lessees;
  • the lenders in relation to US$240.5m secured warehouse facility for the financing of a portfolio of regional aircraft, leased to a number of lessees;
  • Porterbrook Rail Finance Limited in connection with the £885m refinancing of its existing facilities, including matters in relation to its hedging arrangements (GTF Rail Lessor Refinance Deal of the Year 2018);
  • the lenders in relation to US$335m secured warehouse facility for the financing of a portfolio of regional aircraft, leased to a number of lessees;
  • a major Irish lessor on the purchase of a portfolio of aircraft, leased to a range of airlines;
  • the lenders in relation to US$175m secured warehouse facility for the financing of a portfolio of regional aircraft, leased to a number of lessees;
  • the lenders in a Japanese operating lease with call option (JOLCO) transaction in respect of five new Boeing 737-8 aircraft;
  • the lessor in a JOLCO transaction in respect of eight new Boeing 737-9 aircraft; and
  • a major lessor in relation to an ongoing engine sale and leaseback programme with the manufacturer.

Recognition & Accomplishments

Amy has lectured on the subject of aircraft leasing as part of the Irish Law Society’s Diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance.
