Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group lawyers from Milbank LLP’s Tokyo, London and Los Angeles offices authored three separate chapters of The Projects and Construction Review, Eleventh Edition, published by Law Business Research Ltd.

Partner Aled Davies and special counsel Andrew Pendleton from Milbank’s Tokyo office co-authored the International Project Finance chapter, which takes the reader through an overview of international project finance, highlighting the numerous risks and issues in a project financing and their assessment.

Los Angeles partner Henry Scott co-authored the United States chapter with associate Miguel Duran. They review the various transactional structures available to projects and the legal documentation frequently used to implement them, risks associated with project finance transactions and how parties allocate these risks, how the US legal framework supports the ability of lenders and investors to protect their interests, and a range of other topics.

London special counsel Munib Hussain and associate Yi Ming Chan co-authored the United Kingdom chapter, which covers topics including the year in review, documents and transactional structures, risk allocation and management, security and collateral, bonds and insurance, enforcement of security and bankruptcy proceedings, socio-environmental issues, PPP and other public procurement methods, foreign investment and cross-border issues, dispute resolution, and outlooks and conclusions.
