The following transactions on which Milbank advised received IFR Deal of the Year awards:
- Monsoon Wind Power Project (Regional Award Winner | Frontier Markets Issue). Milbank advised Asian Development Bank and a group of senior secured parties on the historic US$692 million non-recourse project financing to construct and operate the Monsoon Wind Power Project located in Laos PDR. The Monsoon Project has garnered widespread industry praise and numerous awards, including ESG Deal of the Year at the Asia Legal Awards, Asia-Pacific Wind Deal of the Year by Project Finance International, IJGlobal Asia Pacific Renewable Energy Deal of the Year and Project Finance Deal of the Year by IFLR.
- BPEA EQT’s US$1.88 billion-equivalent loan for the Tricor-Vistra Merger (Regional Award Winner | Loan). Milbank advised on the credit facilities integral to the merger of Hong Kong-based business services companies Tricor and Vistra. The financing became the first TLB to include a Hong Kong dollar-denominated tranche and the largest such multicurrency financing for an Asian credit.
- Amman Mineral IPO (Country Award Winner | Indonesia Capital Markets Deal). Milbank advised PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk in connection with its 10.73 trillion Rupiah (US$713.43 million) initial public offering on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The transaction was Southeast Asia’s largest IPO in 2023. Milbank was also awarded the IPO Deal of the Year at the Asian Legal Business Indonesia Law Awards for its work on the matter.
