Zoé-Pascale de Saxe Roux is an associate in the Washington, DC office of Milbank LLP and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Arbitration Group.
Primary Focus & Experience
Ms. de Saxe Roux advises clients on antitrust and competition matters, including complex transactions, antitrust compliance, government investigations, and high-stakes private litigation. She regularly counsels corporations and private equity sponsors on antitrust deal risks, manages HSR and ex-U.S. merger control filings, develops strategic arguments in support of merger clearance, and advocates for clients in antitrust litigation and international arbitration. Her practice spans a broad range of industries, including technology, energy, healthcare, life sciences, and financial services. Prior to joining Milbank, Ms. de Saxe Roux was an associate at another leading law firm.
Ms. de Saxe Roux maintains a robust pro bono practice, with a particular emphasis on international law.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Ms. de Saxe Roux earned her M.A. with Honors in Ancient History and International Relations from the University of St Andrews, where she qualified for the Dean's List and received the St Andrews Book Prize Award for Academic Excellence.
Ms. de Saxe Roux received her J.D. cum laude and an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law with Honors from Cornell Law School. During her time at Cornell, she made the Dean's List, earned recognition as a Myron Taylor Scholar, and received the John J. Kelly Jr. Memorial Prize for Academic Excellence. She also served as Managing Editor of the Supreme Court Bulletin and as Research Fellow for the Women and Justice Collection of the Legal Information Institute.
Ms. de Saxe Roux co-authored the judicial treatise A Practical Approach to Evidence for Judicial Officers: Common Law Sources and African Applications and the article "The Problems of Legitimacy of the South African Magistrate Court System as a Quasi-Judicial Entity: A Historical, Statutory, and Case-Based Analysis," published in Volume 56.3 of the Cornell International Law Journal Forum.
Ms. de Saxe Roux is also fluent in French.
