Yan Chan Ng

Primary Focus & Experience

Yan Chuan started her two-year training contract at Milbank since 2022 and qualified as a solicitor in 2024. During her training contract, she experienced a broad range of transactional and contentious practice areas, including Litigation & Arbitration, Competition Law, Financial Restructuring; and Project, Energy and Infrastructure. Yan Chuan has experience in complex commercial disputes in the English Courts and as well as international arbitration.

Key experience includes:

• Acting for a leading international bank in defending a High Court claim brought by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation on behalf of several failed US banks in relation to alleged infringements of competition law and misrepresentations arising out of the setting of USD LIBOR.
• Advising one of the main parties in the Competition Markets Authority’s ongoing market investigation into veterinary services for household pets.

Recognition & Accomplishments

Prior to joining Milbank, Yan Chuan completed pupillage at a leading international law firm in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where she worked across multiple departments including Dispute Resolution and Intellectual Property; Corporate, Commercial and Securities; Finance and Projects; and Tax, Trade and Wealth Management.
