Thiago advises on complex, multijurisdictional restructuring matters, including both in-court and out-of-court restructurings and security enforcement proceedings. He has acted for a broad range of clients, including distressed investors, noteholders, debtor-side corporates and state-owned entities across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Latin America. 

A selection of Thiago’s experience includes advising:

• A minority group of US$1.7 billion payment-in-kind (PIK) noteholders in connection with the proposed debt restructuring and recapitalization of Ardagh Group SA.*
• A state-owned public electricity generation, transmission and distribution business in South Africa in relation to its restructuring and unbundling.*
• The collateral agent in connection with a distressed disposal involving the enforcement and appropriation of shares pledged under Luxembourg law.*
