Suzy Azim is an associate in the London office of Milbank LLP and a member of the firm’s Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group.

Suzy advises on a broad range of matters, with specific experience in the energy transition and digital infrastructure sectors.

  • The lenders in connection with the development and financing of Envision AESC’s battery gigafactory in Douai, France (Awarded Europe Industrial Deal of the Year at PFI Awards 2023 and Gigafactory Deal of the Year at IJGlobal Awards 2023).
  • The EIB, ECAs and commercial bank lenders in connection with the $5 billion financing for the expansion of Northvolt Ett’s EV battery manufacturing and recycling facility in Skellefteå, Sweden.
  • Stegra (formerly H2 Green Steel) in connection with the development, financing and restructuring of its hydrogen and green-steel manufacturing facility in Boden, Sweden, (Awarded “Europe Sustainability Deal of the Year” at the Project Finance International (PFI) Awards 2023).
  • The global lenders in connection with Brookfield Asset Management’s up to $5 billion strategic partnership with Bloom Energy to deploy advanced fuel cell technology for AI factories (Awarded “North America Emerging Energy Deal of the Year” by Proximo).
  • The lenders in connection with the $20 billion financing for a megascale AI data centre campus in New Mexico, led by Blue Owl Capital in partnership with STACK Infrastructure, to be leased to Oracle under the Stargate initiative (Awarded “North America Data Centre Deal of the Year” by Proximo).
  • The ECAs, the commercial banks, the Islamic financial institutions and the joint lead managers on the Sadara Integrated Chemicals Project in Saudi Arabia.
  • The lenders in connection with a $350 million working capital facility for Oyu Tolgoi LLC’s mining operations in Mongolia.
