Sindana Ulaganathan

Primary Focus & Experience

Sindana has experience advising lenders, borrowers and sponsors on cross-border project finance transactions across a broad range of sectors, with particular focus on the energy, transport and infrastructure sectors.

Prior to joining Milbank, Sindana worked at international law firms in Frankfurt and London and one of the largest private sector banks in India. 

A selection of Sindana’s experience includes advising:

• a consortium of sponsors on a €1.84 billion financing of the expansion of the Antalya Airport in Turkey;*
• a consortium of lenders on a £235 million financing of Statera Energy’s 680 MW BESS project in the UK;*
• the lenders on a £180 million financing of a 612 MW portfolio of BESS projects in the UK;*
• a consortium of Turkish and international lenders on an €811 million financing of the Karapinar solar power plant in Turkey (2022 IFLR Deal of the Year);*
• a consortium of lenders on a €2.15 billion financing of a joint venture of Deutsche Telekom and IFM Global Infrastructure Fund for the expansion of its fibre optic network in Germany;*
• the lenders on the €61.9 million Euler Hermes covered project financing of the E energija Telsiai onshore windfarm in Lithuania;*
• the sponsors on the financing of the Etlik Hospital PPP project in Turkey;*
• a consortium of IFIs (including EBRD and EIB) and commercial banks on the Eurasia Tunnel project in Turkey;*
• Total Energies on the £520 million sale of its equity stake in the Seagreen offshore windfarm to PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited.*
