Rosy is an associate in the Litigation & Arbitration Group in London. She specializes in the resolution of complex international disputes across a range of sectors, including banking and financial services, energy/infrastructure, and information technology. Rosy has experience in litigation before the courts of England and other jurisdictions, and international arbitration under the LCIA, ICC and SIAC rules. She has acted for a variety of major corporations, financial institutions and individuals, both in London and Asia (having spent two years working in Hong Kong and Tokyo).

Primary Focus & Experience

  • Advising a group of creditors in connection with proceedings in the Netherlands challenging the validity and enforceability of a €200 million distribution from their debtor to its parent company.
  • Acting for a multinational power company in a US$65 million LCIA arbitration in London concerning the development of a power generation project in West Africa.
  • Advising a former executive of Royal Bank of Scotland in connection with the defence of claims brought by shareholders in the High Court arising from a rights issue in 2008.
  • Representing a high voltage power cables manufacturer in competition damages actions, including the defence in Part 20 claims for contribution in the High Court.
  • Advising a major UK insurance company in connection with an IT services dispute.
  • Acting for a major international pharmaceuticals firm in connection with an IT services dispute.
  • Acting for a major Japanese manufacturing and construction company in an ICC arbitration in Singapore concerning an LNG storage tank construction project in India.
  • Representing a US manufacturer in an arbitration under the SIAC rules in Singapore relating to an exclusive distribution agreement.

Recognitions & Accomplishments

Rosy has an M.A. from the University of Cambridge (where she was awarded a Senior Exhibition) and obtained a distinction from the College of Law for both the GDL and LPC.
