Primary Focus & Experience

Miles has experience acting on a broad range of cross-border and domestic corporate transactions across a variety of sectors, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint venture and shareholder arrangements and other corporate transactions.

Prior to joining Milbank, Miles was a senior associate in the corporate team of a global US law firm’s London office.

• Survitec, a global provider of survival technology, on the sale of its aerospace and defense division, Beaufort, in a carve-out transaction to Capitol Meridian Partners and Stellex Capital Management*
• Barry’s Bootcamp and North Castle Partners in connection with North Castle’s sale of Barry’s to Princeton Equity Group*
• Marquee Brands, an affiliate of Neuberger Berman, in connection with the acquisition of Laura Ashley, the iconic home, fashion and lifestyle brand*
• InPost, Europe’s leading automated parcel machine service provider, in the acquisition of a 30% equity interest in the Menzies Distribution Group and the subsequent acquisition of the remaining 70% equity interest in Menzies Express and Newstrade operations*
• Cheyne Capital on its private credit investment in LuxVet Group, a major veterinary platform in Central and Eastern Europe*
• Precede Capital Partners on the establishment of, and investment by QuadReal Property Group into, its new real estate development debt platform*
• Siris Capital Group in connection with its recapitalization of Mavenir, a US telecommunications software company*
• M3 Capital Partners on the equity arrangements in connection with the divestment of its real estate credit business to Urban Partners (formerly NREP)*
• IHG on its arrangements with Convivio (formerly Foncière des Régions) operating high-quality hotels in the UK*
• Bracco Imaging S.p.A., an Italian manufacturer of agents and tracers used in diagnostic imaging, on the acquisition of Blue Earth Diagnostics Limited from Syncona Portfolio Limited*
• NUMA Group on the acquisition of Native Places, the lifestyle aparthotel and serviced apartment platform*
• CBRE on the acquisition of Sovereign Centros, one of the UK’s leading retail-centric asset and development management businesses*
• Rentokil Initial plc on its acquisitions of Cannon Hygiene and the Boecker Group*
• AstraZeneca AB on its agreements with Grünenthal to divest the European rights to Nexium and the global rights to Vimovo (excluding the US and Japan)*
