Primary Focus & Experience
Ms. Garcia has a wide range of experience with high-stakes litigation and investigations and focuses her practice on matters involving antitrust. She has significant experience in civil antitrust litigation, as well as merger and conduct investigations, and she leverages that experience to counsel clients on a range of antitrust compliance issues.
Prior to joining Milbank, Ms. Garcia served as a trial attorney in the Antitrust Division of the US Department of Justice. She was one of the lead trial attorneys in United States v. Google, the landmark case brought by the United States, which involved allegations of Google’s monopolization of certain digital advertising technology markets. For her contributions to this trial team, she was awarded the Assistant Attorney General’s Award of Distinction.
While at the Department of Justice, Ms. Garcia also conducted several major merger and non-merger investigations across a range of industries including telecommunications, satellites, and professional sports, among others.
Prior to joining the Department of Justice, Ms. Garcia practiced in the Litigation Department of a prominent New York law firm, where she represented clients in the technology, payments, professional sports, and finance industries. She worked on the trial team that successfully represented Apple in a three-week trial brought by the creators of Fortnite, and she helped secure the dismissal of an antitrust class action lawsuit brought by iPhone users alleging monopolization of the mobile gaming market. She also represented Mastercard in antitrust class action lawsuits brought by merchants challenging interchange fees and the rollout of chip cards in the US.

Ms. Garcia received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where she served as a comments editor for the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. She earned her B.A., summa cum laude, from Binghamton University.
