Primary Focus & Experience
Ms. May has experience litigating complex, high-stakes matters, including class actions, multidistrict litigations and appeals. She represents clients in variety of areas including commercial litigation and antitrust. Her experience also includes government investigations.
Ms. May maintains a robust pro bono practice with particular emphasis on education issues, criminal appeals and capital defense.
Recognition & Accomplishments
Prior to joining Milbank, Ms. May was a senior associate at another law firm and was a law clerk to the Honorable Steven M. Colloton of the US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and the Honorable John D. Bates of the US District Court for the District of Columbia.
Ms. May’s practice has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for her work in Commercial Litigation. She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, magna cum laude, where she was the Editor-in-Chief of the Georgetown Law Journal’s Annual Review of Criminal Procedure and a member of the journal’s senior board. Ms. May also received her M.Ed. from American University and her B.A. from Williams College.
