Primary Focus & Experience

Hattie specializes in infrastructure acquisition financings and refinancings, acting for both infrastructure sponsors and finance providers. She has experience in both bank and institutional funding across a broad spectrum of infrastructure assets. 

Hattie’s experience includes: 

Renewables 

• Advising the lender on a holdco financing for EIP relating to its stake in the French renewables arm of Boralex, a Canadian power company

Utilities

• Acting for the bank and private placement funders to Nevel Oy on its approximately €665 million refinancing through a mix of multicurrency bank loans and private placement notes.
• Acting for lenders on the refinancing of Islands Energy Group, a natural gas and LPG supplier to Guernsey, Jersey and Isle of Man
• Acting for the lenders on certain acquisition financings in relation to Fortum Oslo Varme, Norway’s largest producer of district heating.
• Acting for the lenders on a refinancing for Phoenix Energy, the largest gas distributor in Northern Ireland.

Other Energy and Storage Transactions

• Advising Aberdeen Standard Investments on their acquisition of interests in the Noordgastransport oil and gas pipeline
• Advising Staatsolie, a state-owned energy company of the Republic of Suriname, on its $1.6bn financing to fund its 20% interest in the development of the first commercial offshore oil field in Suriname.

Fiber/ Telecoms/ Digital Infrastructure

• Advising the lenders on the financing for the acquisition by Actis of a newly carved-out tower portfolio from Telekom Srbija, a leading telecommunications operator in the CEE region
• Representing the lenders in connection with the purchase by 3i Infrastructure of Global Cloud Xchange
• Advising 3i Infrastructure on the financing of Wireless Infrastructure Group
• Advising lenders on the refinancing of Manx Telecom
• Acting for lenders on a refinancing for Arqiva
• Advising EQT Infrastructure in connection with its acquisition of Maltese telecommunications operator Melita
• Advised Boldyn (a majority owned portfolio company of CPPIB) in relation to its growth facilities, including to fund ongoing capital expenditure requirements in relation to its Transport for London

Transport

• Advised VINCI Airports, the world's leading private airports operator, on the financing aspects of its acquisition of the majority shareholding in Edinburgh Airport Limited, the company that owns Edinburgh Airport, for circa £1.27 billion
• Advising lenders on the financing for Basalt Infrastructure Partner’s acquisition of Unilode Aviation Solutions, an aviation services provider
• Advising lenders on the amendment and restatement of a financing platform for Wightlink ferries
• Advising the lenders on an amendment and restatement of the financing of Brisa, a Portuguese toll road operator
• Advising lenders on the refinancing of Leeds Bradford Airport
• Advising lenders on an amendment and restatement of the financing for Stagecoach, a bus company

Other

• Advising Ciner Glass and Kew Soda (WE Soda group companies) in relation to a refinancing / recapitalization facility to support its operations in Turkey
• Advising Ciner Glass and Kew Soda (WE Soda group companies) in relation to a bridge facility for the construction of a bottling plant in Belgium
• Advising a consortium of lenders in relation to a refinancing for Infrareal, an industrial park management and development company
• Advising AMP Capital on an amendment and restatement for Achieve Together, a provider of residential care
• Advising iCON Infrastructure on an amendment and restatement for Choice Care Group, a provider of residential care
• Acting for a syndicate of Scandivanian banks on a sustainability linked loan to Kemira Oyj, a Finnish chemicals company
• Financings for a number of Macquarie's infrastructure funds
