Primary Focus & Experience

Deborah specialises in aviation finance and has experience advising lessors, banks and alternative financiers on a broad range of matters, including financing, leasing, portfolio sales and acquisition, sale and leaseback and capital market transactions.

A selection of Deborah’s experience includes advising:

• Falko Regional Aircraft Limited on various portfolio financings, including its $388.2m term loan financing in respect of up to 41 aircraft on lease to 11 lessees.*
• The issuer on an aircraft loan securitisation, ‘SALT 2021-1’. SALT 2021-1 Trust issued a total of US$893,477,000 of notes backed by loans secured by 156 aircraft operated by 45 airline operators located in 29 jurisdictions. This was the aviation sector’s first broadly syndicated aircraft loan securitisation. ABS Deal of the Year, AirFinance Journal Awards 2021 and Americas Capital Markets Deal of the Year, Airline Economics 2022.* 
• Export-Import Bank of India, London Branch on a $94.4m term loan in respect of satellites for OneWeb.*
• The financiers on multiple portfolio financings for CDB Aviation, including a $492m financing of 14 aircraft and a $700m financing of 19 aircraft.*
