Primary Focus & Experience
Before joining Milbank, Carl practiced for three years at another leading international law firm, with a focus on complex commercial, securities, employment and class action litigation. He has represented clients across a broad variety of industries, including in the finance, energy and technology sectors. Carl also maintained an active pro bono practice and argued an appeal in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Carl clerked for the Honorable Raymond W. Gruender of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and for the Honorable Paul A. Crotty of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. He also previously served as the Director of Judicial Clerkships at Cornell Law School.
