Bruna Rey

Bruna Rey is special counsel in the New York office of Milbank LLP and a member of the firm's Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group. Bruna’s practice focuses on sponsor and lender representation in a wide range of transactions involving the acquisition, development, and financing of energy and infrastructure (including digital infrastructure) projects throughout the U.S. and Latin America.

• The lead arranger in the holdco financing for a portfolio of datacenters in Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico.*
• The lead arranger in the financing for the development of a portfolio of datacenters in the Middle East.*
• The lead arranger in the datacenter devco facility for a major developer.*
• The lead arranger in the construction financing for the development of a datacenter in New Jersey.*
• The lead arranger in various construction financings for the development of datacenters in Virginia.*
• The private placement investors and Lenders in the refinancing of the non-recourse debt of a portfolio of renewable assets in Chile.*
• The private placement investors and Lenders in connection with the refinancing of an off-grid, decentralized, solar project in Peru.*
• The private placement investors in the refinancing of a transmission line project in Guatemala.*
• The lender in the construction financing of a battery energy storage system in Chile.*
• The sponsor in the construction financing of a solar generation and battery energy storage system (BESS) in Chile.*

Recognition & Accomplishments

Bruna earned her LL.M. from the University of Chicago and her J.D. from Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. She was named a Leading Associate in Legal 500 Latin America in Projects and Energy and an Associate to Watch by Chambers Brazil in Project Finance. Bruna was also named a Rising Star in Project Development and Banking by IFLR USA. She speaks Portuguese natively and is fluent in Spanish and English.
