Primary Focus & Experience
Ashrita advises on a broad range of cross-border financial restructurings of stressed and distressed businesses, with experience advising creditors, strategic investors, debtors and insolvency practitioners on a broad range of restructuring and insolvency matters.
Prior to joining Milbank, Ashrita was a member of the Emerging Companies and Venture Capital practice at an American law firm in Palo Alto, where she advised technology companies on general formation and venture capital financings. Prior to that, Ashrita was an associate at a top-tier law firm in India, focusing on commercial litigation, restructuring, and insolvency in India.

- An ad-hoc group of bondholders for the recapitalization of a UK broadband provider, including via an exchange offer and consent solicitation process and new funding facilities.
- Atento SA, a business transformation outsourcing company, in its financial restructuring by way of two parallel and inter-conditional UK Part 26A restructuring plans.*
- A loan agency and trustee services provider in a cross-border enforcement action.*
- Early-stage technology companies as primary outside counsel through their corporate life cycles.*
- Venture capital investors in equity financing transactions.*
- The court-appointed administrator of the first non-banking finance company in India to undergo insolvency.*
- The court-appointed insolvency practitioner of a leading Indian airline through its insolvency process.*
- A global investment manager in a bid for one of India’s first cross-border bankruptcy related acquisitions.*
- India’s leading stock exchange platform re allegations of unfair high-frequency trading systems.*
