Primary Focus & Experience

Aarom advises cross-border aircraft finance and leasing transactions, including delivery financings, sales and novations, refinancings, prepayments and terminations. Aarom has acted for all industry participants, including leasing companies, manufacturers, airlines, financiers and Export Credit Agencies. Aarom has recently advised on a series of commercial debt financings and several lease transactions involving all major aircraft types and lessors.

A selection of Aarom’s experience includes advising:

• Avolon on its inaugural US$1.1 billion combined senior term loan and revolving credit facility.
• A global alternative asset manager on the structuring and establishment of a new aviation leasing platform, including the financing and servicing arrangements and the negotiation of acquisition agreements for the platform's seed assets.
• An institutional investor on the acquisition and financing of 17 aircraft from a securitization vehicle, utilizing a dual financing structure funded under the client's term loan facility and asset-backed securities platform.
• A leading Irish leasing company in respect of a 33-aircraft portfolio sale.
• An Irish lessor on the lease termination and sale of six Boeing 777 aircraft to an airline based in Asia.
• A leasing company on the sale of a 7-aircraft portfolio to an Irish lessor.
• An Irish leasing company on the financing and purchase of three aircraft.
• A leading airline on its JOLCO delivery financing of two new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
• An Irish lessor in respect of the purchase of a 5-aircraft portfolio from a leasing company.
