NEW YORK, September 15, 2015 – Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP has placed 10th on The American Lawyer’s annual survey of summer associates at major US law firms, reflecting the firm’s commitment to providing a challenging, informative and fun summer program for law students.
The survey asks summer associates at Am Law 200 firms for feedback on work opportunities, interactions with partners and other lawyers, communication from the firm about goals and expectations, the accuracy of the firm’s portrayal of itself during interviews, whether participants would choose to join the firm full time if offered, and their overall impressions of the firm.
In all of these categories, Milbank earned exceptionally high marks, with average scores of 4.9 and 5.0 out of a possible 5.0 across the board. Additionally, in rankings of summer programs by city, Milbank was one of the first-place programs in Los Angeles.
The survey comes on the heels of a strong showing in this year’s Am Law survey of associate satisfaction, which saw Milbank rise to 6th place based on feedback from its third-, fourth- and fifth-year associates. Milbank has earned a spot on Am Law’s annual A-List – which measures associate satisfaction along with firm profitability, diversity, and pro bono work – for over a decade, ranking 8th in 2015.
