National Law Journal Names Milbank Partner Antonia M. Apps to 2020 “Litigation Trailblazers” List

Milbank LLP Litigation and White Collar partner Antonia Apps has been named to the National Law Journal’s “Litigation Trailblazers” list of 2020. The annual list recognizes litigators from across the nation who have moved the needle through new strategies or innovative court cases and have made significant impacts on the practice, policy and technological advancements in their sector. Ms. Apps was named a Trailblazer for her achievements prosecuting and defending white collar matters and high-stakes commercial litigation.

Ms. Apps is a nationally recognized trial attorney and former federal prosecutor who joined Milbank in 2014 after more than seven years as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York. In that role, she prosecuted landmark insider trading cases that changed the law and set new precedents, including the case against the hedge fund S.A.C. Capital Advisors, which pled guilty and paid the largest insider trading fine in history. At Milbank, Ms. Apps has successfully advised public companies, private equity firms, hedge funds and senior executives navigating multi-billion dollar, bet-the-company regulatory and private securities litigation, earning the respect of clients, regulators and judges.

Ms. Apps has received numerous awards for her achievements in white collar criminal law and regulatory enforcement. In 2019, she was named to Crain’s New York Business’Notable Women in Law” list for her distinguished career and exceptional philanthropic activities. Lawdragon has named her to the list of “500 Leading Lawyers in America” every year since 2014. Ms. Apps is also ranked in the Chambers USA listing for White Collar Crime & Government Investigations. She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and teaches a class at Harvard Law School on white collar criminal law and procedure.
