Milbank LLP today announced that its Los Angeles office has relocated into new space at Anderson Towers, 1900 Avenue of the Stars, remaining in the convenient Century City hub near its former location.
“Forty years after establishing an LA office, Milbank continues to have one of the strongest offices in the city with practices that compete nationally in their respective areas,” said Milbank Chairman Scott A. Edelman. “With our new space, we look forward to decades to come of continued growth and success.”
Milbank’s new space occupies two floors of a state-of-the-art, LEED-designed building. It includes flexible work areas, open collaboration zones, modern meeting rooms and enhanced event spaces that support both day-to-day client work and firmwide programming. Expansive windows fill the space with natural light and sweeping Los Angeles views, while warm, sophisticated finishes create an open, airy atmosphere. The pedestrian-friendly campus features landscaped courtyards, outdoor gathering spaces and direct access to Westfield Century City.
“We wanted to create a space that not only supports how our teams work but also reflects the energy and character of Los Angeles,” said Michael Duff, managing partner of the Los Angeles office and partner in the Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group. “The result is a workplace that brings our people and clients together and allows us to keep delivering high-level work.”
Since opening in 1987, Milbank’s Los Angeles office has been a cornerstone of the firm’s Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance group and is recognized as a prominent project finance practice. The team is a leader in renewable energy finance, advising major financial institutions and newer market entrants, including private equity funds, technology companies and corporations, on solar, wind, battery storage and fuel cell projects.
The leading renewables practice is backed by a full-service platform, strengthened by Evan Roberts, who joined Milbank in 2025 to expand its private equity and M&A capabilities in the energy sector. The firm’s Financial Restructuring lawyers are market leaders on some of the world’s largest corporate restructurings and chapter 11 cases. Additionally, the growing Litigation & Arbitration practice handles matters locally and nationwide, focusing on bankruptcy, intellectual property, white collar defense and investigations, mass tort and arbitration.
The space was designed by global architecture and design firm Lehman Smith McLeish (LSM). This is Milbank’s fourth office project with LSM, who also designed the firm’s offices at 55 Hudson Yards in New York, 1101 New York Avenue in Washington, DC and 100 Liverpool Street in London. Taslimi Construction, a Southern California based construction company, served as general contractor and led the construction and delivery of the space in collaboration with Milbank’s project team, LSM and building ownership. Reflecting the creative spirit of Los Angeles, the office features commissioned artworks by local artists June Edmonds and Nights of Neon.
