NEW YORK, November 21, 2014 – Milbank was honored with two top awards at the 13th Annual M&A Advisor Awards Gala in New York on November 17. The M&A Advisor Awards honor the leading deal teams, firms and professionals whose activities set the standard for M&A transactions. Milbank provided counsel for the following award winning deals:
- Restructuring of Select Staffing - Restructuring Deal of the Year (Over $100MM to $1 Billion)
- Restructuring - Technology, Media, Telecom Deal of the Year (Over $100MM to $1 Billion)
Milbank also provided counsel on the Restructuring of Genco Shipping & Trading which was a finalist in the following categories:
- Restructuring Deal of the Year (Over $1 Billion)
- Industrial Goods and Basic Resources Deal of the Year
- Industrial Manufacturing/ Distribution Deal of the Year (Over $250MM)
Financial Restructuring partner Mark Shinderman and Corporate partner Brett Goldblatt led the Milbank team representing the steering committee of 1st and 2nd lien lenders owed in excess of $600 million in the restructuring of Select Staffing.
