Milbank LLP Litigation & Arbitration partners Mona Vaswani and Adam Fee spoke this week at the 16th Edition of the Fraud, Asset Tracing & Recovery Conference, March 24-25 in Geneva, Switzerland. The event focuses on global enforcement and litigation issues involving cross-border fraud.
Ms. Vaswani, the conference co-chair, provided opening remarks and co-moderated a panel discussion titled “Issues Around Cryptocurrency and Digital Assets That Litigators Need to be Mindful Of," which focused on issues and challenges litigators face when it comes to crypto fraud. Ms. Vaswani will also participate in a special interview session with Financial Times reporter Cynthia O’Murchu, titled “Investigating Fraud and Corruption: Hidden in Plain Sight?,” which offers a view into an investigative reporter’s approach to digging into (alleged) financial wrongdoing.
Mr. Fee will co-moderate a discussion titled “Cyber Fraud: You’ve Been Hit with a Cyber Fraud or Ransomware Attack, What Happens Next?” The panelists will review the dramatic increase in the frequency and sophistication of cyber fraud and ransomware attacks, and issues relating to responding to such attacks.
Mona Vaswani is a partner in Milbank’s London office and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Arbitration Group. She advises on a variety of complex, cross-border, disputes and investigations, with an emphasis on banking litigation, fraud and asset-tracing claims as well as trust litigation. Adam Fee is a partner in the Los Angeles and New York offices of Milbank and a member of the firm’s Litigation & Arbitration Group. A former federal prosecutor, Mr. Fee advises companies, individuals and boards facing government investigations and complex civil litigation.
