Four Milbank LLP partners received 2026 “North America Lawyer of the Year” honors at the Women in Business Law Americas Awards event held on May 28 in New York. The winners include Alexandra Johnson (Structured Finance & Securitization), Atara Miller (Media & Entertainment), Stacey J. Rappaport (Insurance & Reinsurance) and Jessica Soojian (Wealth Management). Milbank also was recognized as “Career Development International Firm of the Year” and “Work-Life Balance International Firm of the Year” based on the quality and impact of the firm’s programs.
Alexandra Johnson is a partner in New York and practice group leader of the firm’s Transportation and Space Group. She advises on a wide variety of some of the most innovative structured finance, international and corporate transactions, and her practice focuses on transportation and equipment assets, including aviation and space as well as digital infrastructure and esoteric assets.
Atara Miller is a member of Milbank’s Global Executive Committee and a New York-based partner in the firm’s Litigation & Arbitration Group. Her practice focuses on federal and state court litigation of complex commercial matters and bankruptcy-related litigation. She has extensive experience trying cases and managing disputes out of court and in mediation.
Stacey J. Rappaport is a former member of Milbank’s Global Executive Committee and a partner in the firm’s Litigation & Arbitration Group in New York. She represents some of the nation’s leading financial services companies and their life insurance subsidiaries in class action and life settlement investor litigation, as well as other commercial disputes.
Jessica Soojian is a partner in the New York office and co-practice group leader of the firm’s Trusts, Estates and Exempt Organizations Group. Her practice focuses on estate planning, estate and trust administration and philanthropic planning. She has extensive experience providing sophisticated tax and succession planning advice for ultra-high net worth individuals and families.
