Olivia Choe, Litigation & Arbitration partner at Milbank LLP, will speak on a trans-national panel at the Circle News Talk Series in New York City on Tuesday, June 2.
Ms. Choe will participate in the panel titled, "From Long Litigation Nation to a New Delaware," which will discuss the role of a securities regulator in building trust in the capital markets, including the role of enforcement credibility, rulemaking transparency and responsiveness to market developments in investor confidence. The panel will cover the interplay between the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Delaware courts and how that interplay may be instructive for regulators in Brazil and other jurisdictions.
Ms. Choe will be joined by panelists Leo E. Strine, Jr., Of Counsel at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and Renato Grion, partner at Pinheiro Neto Advogados. The panel will be moderated by Arthur Parente, partner at Mattos Filho.
Ms. Choe is a litigation and white-collar partner whose practice focuses on complex litigation, government enforcement actions and white-collar investigations. Before joining Milbank, she served as Chief Litigation Counsel for the SEC's Division of Enforcement and as a federal prosecutor in the Department of Justice.
