Gurbir S. Grewal, Litigation & Arbitration partner at Milbank LLP and former Director of the SEC’s Division of Enforcement, will speak at SIFMA C&L Regional Northeast in New York on October 15, 2025.
Mr. Grewal will join other industry professionals in a panel titled, “The Northeast Corridor: Connecting Regional Enforcement Strategies,” and will address top of mind questions for financial industry professionals, including: Are states stepping up in the Consumer Protection space? What coordination, if at all, are we seeing between federal and NE regulators in the crypto space? What is top of mind for state securities regulators? And how do firms treat carefully to avoid the landmines of warring law enforcement factions?
Mr. Grewal brings a unique blend of government experience, including his roles as a former federal prosecutor, New Jersey Attorney General and SEC Enforcement Director, to his representation of clients across a range of regulatory enforcement and white-collar criminal matters. During his three-year tenure as SEC Enforcement Director, Mr. Grewal oversaw all investigations, enforcement actions and litigation conducted by the SEC and supervised a staff of more than 1,300 attorneys and accountants nationwide.
