Milbank LLP Antitrust Partner Grant Bermann will moderate a panel on antitrust issues in the airline industry at the 2026 ABA Antitrust Section Spring Meeting in Washington, DC. The Spring Meeting is the largest gathering of antitrust lawyers and economists in the world.
Mr. Bermann will moderate the March 25 panel “Clear Skies?” The panel will focus on the government’s evolving approach to antitrust enforcement in the aviation industry. Mr. Bermann has deep experience in that industry; most recently, he represented Sun Country Airlines in obtaining antitrust clearance for its $1.5 billion acquisition by Allegiant Travel Company. While serving as a Trial Attorney at the US Department of Justice, he litigated the government’s successful challenges to the “Northeast Alliance” between American Airlines and JetBlue, as well as the government’s successful challenge to JetBlue’s proposed $3.8 billion acquisition of Spirit Airlines. He is Co-Chair of the ABA Antitrust Section’s Transportation and Energies Industries Committee.
