Milbank Partner George Canellos to Speak at Virtual Corporate Enforcement Conference Hosted by New York University School of Law

On November 3, George Canellos, Global Head of Milbank LLP’s Litigation & Arbitration Group, will speak at New York University School of Law’s Program on Corporate Compliance and Enforcement (PCCE). The conference, titled The Next Wave of Corporate Enforcement, will be held virtually from 9:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on November 3 and 9:55 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. on November 5.

A nationally recognized leader in litigation and capital markets enforcement, Mr. Canellos represents financial institutions, public companies, asset management firms, and individuals in government investigations and contested litigation in federal and state courts, and advises clients on corporate governance and compliance with the securities and banking laws. He has more than two decades of experience prosecuting and defending white collar criminal cases and civil actions arising under the securities laws, having served in top positions at the US Securities and Exchange Commission and as a federal criminal prosecutor in the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.

The NYU Law School’s PCCE is dedicated to developing a richer and deeper understanding of the causes of corporate misconduct and the nature of effective enforcement and compliance.
