On October 1, 2015, Milbank partner Fiona Schaeffer will be a panelist at the 42nd Fordham Antitrust Conference in New York. Fiona will moderate a panel of high profile women in antitrust, including the Chair of the Mexican Competition Commission and GE’s lead in-house antitrust counsel who will discuss their career paths, their contributions to the antitrust field, and strategies and insights they can share with young lawyers and economists who are embarking on a career in international antitrust law and enforcement. On September 25, 2015, Fiona was a panelist at the Supreme Court IP Review held at the IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. Her panel discussed the Supreme Court’s decision in Kimble v. Marvel Enterprises, Inc., which declined to overrule Brulotte v. Thys Co. (patentee’s use of a royalty agreement that projects beyond the expiration date of the patent is unlawful per se).
