Milbank LLP Transportation and Space partner Dara Panahy will be an opening keynote speaker and will speak on two panels on May 28, 2024 during the Asia Video Industry Association’s (AVIA) Satellite Industry Forum in Singapore. Mr. Panahy will be a keynote speaker alongside THAICOM CEO Patompob (Nile) Suwansiri, on the topic “What is at Stake for the Satellite Industry,” discussing the challenges and opportunities faced by the satellite industry, including NGSOs, GSO satellite operators, financial markets, software-defined satellites, ground segment and spectrum developments and more.
Mr. Panahy will also be speaking on the “Asia-Pacific Satellite Leaders Roundtable” and on the “Tumult, Volatility, Disruption – What’s Next?” panel, where panelists will discuss what is to come in the space industry.
Mr. Panahy, who leads the firm’s Transportation and Space practice in Washington, DC, focuses on the representation of satellite and space infrastructure operators, aerospace manufacturers, launch services providers, communications, earth observation and data services companies, banks, private equity firms, hedge funds and other investors in debt and equity offerings, project, structured and vendor financings, mergers & acquisitions, financial restructurings and in negotiating commercial contracts.
